As a Marine, I had four very important rules pounded into my brain housing group. We called them the Four Rifle Range Safety Rules, and while I was a marksmanship coach, I would brief hundreds of Marines twice day on these rules. If a person follows these very simple rules when handling firearms, I believe most, if not all, accidental injuries can be avoided. I think they are so important and vital to gun ownership and handling that we've dedicated a page to them.
